Reflections on My Recent Business Trip to San Francisco: A Personal Perspective
My last visit was 6 months ago
My Observations While Walking Around Downtown San Francisco After 6 Months
I would like to share my personal observations and thoughts on the changes I noticed while walking around downtown San Francisco during my recent business trip. I was struck by the differences I saw compared to my last visit, and I want to explore what these changes might mean for the city and the startup scene.
Downtown San Francisco - Back to Normal or Not?
Downtown has returned to normal, with a similar number of people as before.
I'm not sure if it's because of the increased number of people, but I felt that the environment in downtown is no longer safe.
There are more homeless individuals and people walking around half-naked or talking to themselves.
There are some areas that appear deserted, resembling a ghost town.
Many facilities, restaurants, and cafes are still closed.
This is one of the photos I took near Union Square.
Please don't get me wrong, I love San Francisco. However, these are the things that I noticed during my first day back after being away for six months.
I wonder what has happened in the past couple of months because the city felt noticeably different. I'm worried that if this situation continues, it could get worse.
If this situation does worsen, it could negatively affect the startup and business scene in the region. I am concerned about these issues.
I wonder if it's just me who feels this way. If you have visited San Francisco recently, I would appreciate hearing your thoughts.
